Editorial Policy
Reader trust is the only asset this site has. This policy binds everything we publish: how products are chosen, how they are tested, how money works, and how we fix mistakes.
Independence
- No pay-for-rank. Scores, picks, and verdicts cannot be bought at any price.
- Affiliate separation. The Amazon Associates links that fund testing are added after rankings are set, and the people who write reviews do not see commission data.
- No pre-approval. Brands never see, edit, or approve our copy before publication.
How products are chosen
We cover what US shoppers can actually buy: current maker lineups, reader requests, and noteworthy price drops. We say when a pick is niche or when most people should buy the cheaper alternative. Our testing method is public: How We Test.
Accuracy and corrections
- Specs are checked against maker pages; independent sources (e.g. PCMag, Tom's Guide) are cited where used.
- Errors are corrected promptly and the guide's updated date reflects the fix.
- Report errors to info@remingtoncroft.com with the guide URL.
Reviews from readers
Reader tips and experiences inform what we test, and published reader submissions may be edited for clarity. We may remove submissions that are spam, abusive, unlawful, or misleading, at our sole discretion. Posting grants us the reuse rights described in our Terms of Use; no compensation is paid for submissions.
Updates
Guides are living documents. Re-tests after firmware updates, price changes, and new releases keep picks current; discontinued products are removed rather than left as dead recommendations.
